Kim Kardashian Wows in a Back-Cutout Gown For Balenciaga's New Campaign

Kim Kardashian and Balenciaga have had a year of synergy, and today that relationship shows no signs of slowing down. Balenciaga released its Winter 2022 campaign on Aug. 31, with Kardashian front and center. The beauty mogul has been an ambassador for the house for quite some time, spearheading some of its biggest trends: the Pantaleggings, the Le Cagole bag, the hybrid bodysuit dress, and the catsuit. The campaign also stars fellow Balenciaga muse "Euphoria"'s Alexa Demie.

For this campaign, Balenciaga expands on the theme of "a time in the future when weather is mostly simulated," which we saw physically interpreted at the shows back in March. For the Fall 2022 Ready-to-Wear show, models walked around in a simulated snowstorm. The new campaign sees Kardashian as the winter queen in environments of snow and sea ice, whereas Demie is shown in a desert-like climate. The campaign images, centered around climate change, were created by Berlin-based photographer Daniel Roché.

Many of Kim's memorable style moments as of late have been linked to the French fashion house. There's her infamous Balenciaga caution-tape moment at the brand's Fall 2022 show in Paris; her "SNL" hosting debut clad in Balenciaga catsuits; the ominous shrouded ensemble she wore to the Met Gala; her appearance at the 2022 couture show with fashion icon North West in the audience; and her most recent camo Barbiecore moment on Instagram.

Ahead, scroll to see Kim Kardashian, Alexie Demie, and pieces of the collection in all the contrasting environments.

Elsa Hosk Just Combined Two of Fall's Top Trends Into One Insanely Good Outfit

With September on the horizon, it's finally time for all the fall trends we bookmarked during fashion month in February to make their street-style debuts. And it should come as no surprise that the first stylish celeb to do so was supermodel-turned-designer Elsa Hosk. Even better, she managed to fit two of fall's buzziest trends into one low-key cool outfit.

This weekend, Hosk followed up the announcement of her brand-new ready-to-wear brand, Helsa, by dotting around Los Angeles wearing chic pieces from it, including, but not limited to, the skirt trend that has everyone in fashion ditching anything with a midi hemline. Maxi skirts—which were featured in fall/winter 2022 collections from Peter Do, ACNE Studios, Kwaidan Editions, and more—have been gaining traction for months, waiting for their big moment come fall. And now that we've seen them on Hosk, the excitement can only increase. Making the look all the more enticing for fall, though, is the fact that she paired her trendy bottoms with another on-demand item for the season: a heavy-duty leather jacket. In other words, this one outfit on Hosk is all the inspo you need to check off fall's biggest style moments.

Scroll on to shop both trends before the season officially begins.

The $80 Nordstrom Dress That's Causing a Stir in Our Slack Channels

It should come as no surprise that, as a digital fashion team, we have a Slack channel dedicated to, well, shopping. It's a space where we drop the most epic shopping finds that have stood out to us lately, and a quick scroll through the recent posts reveals everything from our shared obsession with Miu Miu's satin ballet flats to Nordstrom's most expensive-looking new arrival, which leads me to the topic of today's story: the Open Edit Satin Midi Dress that my colleague Natalie dropped in the channel.

If you're not already familiar, Open Edit is one of Nordstrom's in-house brands whose forward silhouettes I'm always shocked to see are under $100. The dress I'm showcasing here is certainly no exception. It's a simple slip dress with a pretty gathered halter neckline and ankle-length hem, and it comes in two colors, a sophisticated burgundy hue and a trendier tangerine shade. As soon as I saw how good the dress looked on Natalie, I was immediately impressed and had to check it out for myself.

Clearly, the dress translates off-screen, seeing as it looks just as good IRL as it appears online. To shop it for yourself and see more luxe-looking finds I'm eyeing right now, just keep scrolling.
This wine color would make for such a chic wedding guest option.
This year's big color trend has never been more wearable.
Not only does smocking give off a fancy vibe, but it also makes any garment supremely comfortable.
Little details that make a big impact.
Yep, these look luxe.
Levi's jackets aren't to be missed.
From the shape to the color, this little bag is perfection.
Sleek maxi slip dresses are trending right now, and this affordable version is just right.
I had to do a double take to make sure I saw this sale price correctly.
It's always a yes to plissé for me.
I'm so into this retro silhouette.
To wear with jeans and boots all season.
I've seen many designer versions of this sweater style, and this one certainly rivals them.
Hello, beautiful.
With ballet flats trending again, get yourself a cool modern version.
An unexpected color for leather pants, but it works.
Oooh.
Just a really great blazer I found.
The elongated cuffs and curved hem make this stand out from the droves of plain button-downs out there.
Chic with a capital C.
I've already seen this bag on Instagram a number of times and can confirm that it looks just as luxe IRL.
This cool jacket will hardly be in stock for very long.
Maxi season is approaching.
The high neckline, the ruching, the cream color—it's all working.
It's giving Palm Springs in the 1960s (in the best way).
The shape and color of these intrigues me.
In case your office wardrobe needed some updating.
She's a stunner.

Next, see the 37 new arrivals that have my attention from H&M, J.Crew, and Nordstrom.
