15 "Boring" Fall Outfits That Look Ultra Expensive

It sounds contradictory, but sometimes it's the simple (often called "boring") outfits that are the chicest. There's something about clean, minimalist outfits that I've always been drawn to because they always look expensive. Think about it. Is there anything more effortlessly cool than a really good jeans-and–T-shirt outfit? Exactly.

This fall in particular, I've found myself saving outfit after outfit with one thing in common: a neutral color palette. If you take a look in my Instagram saved collections right now, you'll notice sea of white, black, brown, and various shades of beige. My entire feed seems to be flooded with outfits that you can easily re-create on a budget. The key is to stick with a totally neutral color palette, and your look is guaranteed to feel luxe. If you don't believe me, simply keep scrolling to see a highlight reel of my 26 favorite expensive-looking fall outfits that are all made up of neutral pieces, and prepare to be converted.

Wear with the matching skirt for the chicest knit ensemble.

Ideal for autumn—a neutral trench adds instant french-girl polish to your look.
High-waisted wide-leg pants in a neutral hue always looks so sophisticated.
Pair crisp whites with a rich dark brown overcoat for a luxe look.
A fitted ribbed knit cardigan deserves a place in your fall wardrobe.
A sophisticated ivory blazer is the perfect topper over soft autumnal knits.
A silky slip dress looks so pretty when paired with a cozy cashmere cardigan.
You can never go wrong with a classic beige blazer.
A white shirt dress looks all the more chic when paired with a statement black belt.
A long knit cardigan elongates your look.
Overalls look even more charming when paired with a vintage-inspired collared blouse.
A matching set is the epitome of elegance.

These 10 Amazon Thongs Make Your Legs Look Way Longer

Over the past year, we’ve shared an assortment of Amazon-focused stories ranging from the $20 item that will change the way you pack and the “miracle” socks that heal blisters to the fashion items we’re buying and the items a celebrity stylist always scores on the ’zon. We’ve also shared a handful of controversial lingerie trends that have flourished recently, like the one that weirdly made me happier, everything you need to know about “keyhole” underwear, expert insight on the next big lingerie trends, and the rise of string thong pieces in the underwear and bikini departments. Well, today we’re merging the two topics and bringing you the thongs with the best ratings on Amazon.

We have vocal Amazon shoppers to thank for that time we brought you the top-reviewed leggings, the T-shirt with the highest customer ratings, and the best-selling jeans on the worldwide shopping destination. We hopped to the rating section again to reveal what reviews have to say about the top 10 high-rise thongs. See which brands and styles made the list below, and update your undergarment drawer along the way.

Rating: 5 out of 5 . "These are the best underwear. Worth every penny. I can't feel them at all." — Customer Review
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (Best Seller). "A decent thong is hard to find. These are GREAT! Good quality, breathable cotton, low fit doesn't ride up or look like granny panties. Cute style and comfortable cut." — Customer Review
Rating: 5 out of 5 . "Love the feel of the soft fabric and so comfortable, like wearing nothing!" — Customer Review
Rating: 4 out of 5 . "It's hard to order underwear [online], but these were worth the gamble. The material was quality and they fit great. Will be buying these again." — Customer Review
Rating: 5 out of 5 . "Super comfortable and nice fit!" — Customer Review
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 . "I bought these to wear under a form-fitting wedding dress and they're perfect. I was hesitant about the one-size-fits-all thing but they fit pretty well. Slightly big but they'll do the trick. They're seamless and invisible under clothing, the material is smooth and comfortable and the waistband is perfect (no side flab or digging in). I would definitely recommend these."  — Customer Review
Rating: 4 out of 5 . "I love these! I ordered one set and received it about a week ago and that's all I want to wear now. I just ordered two more sets and I'm going to throw out all my old underwear and start fresh! They are so comfy and wash well. No tag which I love. They stay put no matter how much you move. They fit me perfectly. Just follow the sizing guide." — Customer Review
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 . "Perfect underwear! Let me start by saying, I hate the feeling most thongs offer. For the first time ever, I have found a pair that are beyond awesome. I hate panty lines under my work out clothes but these panties are not only super comfortable but do not show through." — Customer Review
Rating: 4 out of 5 . "A new favorite! As a dedicated Hanky Panky fan, I struggle with trying anything new. These are every bit as comfortable and have just a slightly wider lace band which I love!" — Customer Review
Rating: 5 out of 5 . "These don't feel like you are wearing a thong at all but my favorite part is that they don't cause any unsightly bulging of your midsection. And they are just the right rise, not too high and not to low." — Customer Review
