I Tested Meghan Markle's Go-To Tote and It's Now My Wardrobe Staple

Tiny handbags, be damned - this season is all about bold totes that are big enough to carry your entire life in. And as someone whose closet is chock-full of clutches, crossbody bags, and a number of other compact purse styles, I have very mixed feelings about the trend. But if there was ever a handbag that might sway my loyalties, I knew it would be the Cuyana Easy Tote ($268) - a standout piece from the luxury, ethical brand behind some of today's most polished fashion essentials.
In all truth: I've had my eye on Cuyana's chic tote offerings for a while now (thank Meghan Markle for that!). So naturally, when I heard that Cuyana was planning to do a major makeover on its handbag and tote stock, my interest was immediately piqued. After all, this was the same brand beloved and religiously worn by celebrities like Jessica Alba and Angelina Jolie. Any collection revamp would have to rival some of the designer's cult-favorite styles like the (now defunct) Classic Structured Leather Tote, all while still staying true to Cuyana's reputation for timeless elegance.
Fortunately, I was lucky enough to take Cuyana's popular bag style, the Easy Tote, for a test-drive before the product's debut. I'll admit: even as a fan of the brand, I was wary about whether the style could live up to the hype of the luxe designer's other, more staple bags. But so far, Cuyana's new Easy Tote has managed to do the impossible - make a tote believer out of even the most adamant mini-bag loyalist: me. The bag has been my greatest accessory companion over the past few weeks - and I have an inkling it will continue to be my go-to long after, too. Read on for my honest review of Cuyana's Easy Tote style.
About the Cuyana Easy Tote
- The Cuyana Easy Tote is available to shop in two styles: a classic, horizontal Easy Tote and a Cuyana Tall Easy Tote ($268).
- The Easy Tote comes in eight different colors, including cappuccino (my bag of choice), caramel, black, and stone. The style is also available in a handful of fresh, seasonal colorways that include daffodil yellow, indigo, and ecru.
- This particular style is Leather Working Group (LWG)-certified, which affirms that the bag's leather is tanned in an environmentally responsible way.
What I Like About the Cuyana Easy Tote
Even upon first wear, you can tell the tote is built to last - a theme that's consistent with most all of Cuyana's product inventory. The bag is crafted from a lightweight, pebbled Italian leather that's designed to soften with each wear - making it a chic and comfortable style that's perfect for the long haul.
The tote is also astonishingly lightweight - so much so that Cuyana has even marketed it as being the brand's "lightest bag ever." As someone who has had some time to take the product for a spin, I can confirm: it really does live up to the airy hype. I'm notorious for carrying a lot of stuff with me wherever I go - whether it's to the gym, airport, office, and beyond, I always have plenty of my own daily essentials in tow. As a result, I've historically had to rely on bulky, heavy, and downright inconvenient totes to keep all of my handbag must haves organized. But thanks to Cuyana's Easy Tote, I get the space of a deep and chunky tote, all without any of the hassle or added weight. I suspect this is in part due to the tote's minimal design, which avoids cliché bag buffers like synthetic lining or bulky hardware.
More than anything, I just love the timeless elegance of Cuyana's Easy Tote. The relaxed style boasts more of a squishy, breathable feel that's simple, stylish, and, best of all, subtle. Statement handbags and purses might be popular nowadays, but like most trends, it's difficult to predict whether they'll remain relevant in the next season. With the muted design of the Cuyana Easy Tote, I have no doubt that the bag will be a sophisticated and polished staple in my closet for years to come.
What's Worth Noting
The tote features a double-handbag design, which aims to create a more streamlined look, allowing users to easily switch between carrying the bag by hand or by shoulder. Initially, I was concerned that the shorter straps might look cluttered or even feel suffocating on my arm when I opted to hold the bag on my shoulder. Fortunately, the straps are flexible and can easily be pushed down into the tote when needed, all without causing damage or creases. While I wasn't immediately sold on the strap design, I've come to see the appeal - especially since it's like getting two bags in one.
Another thing to note are the minimal storage compartments. The tote features a single, large hanging wall pocket on the interior, which is the perfect size for holding your phone, cardholder, or go-to lipstick or any other valuables you might need on hand. Personally, I don't mind that the bag has only one storage pocket - when it comes to totes, the simpler the design, the better. That being said, if you are someone who relies on having more structure or organized spaces in your bag, it's certainly something to be aware of and maybe it's worth purchasing a handbag organizer to go with it.
Who Is the Cuyana Easy Tote Best For?
Some people mark the beginning of a new chapter in their life with a fresh hairstyle or other grown-up investment. Others celebrate it by splurging on a new Cuyana handbag. I, like so many other fans of the luxury brand, prefer the latter - which is why I'd say this Cuyana tote is perfect for anyone looking for a timeless bag they can take anywhere and carry through any season.
The deep style boasts plenty of interior space that's capable of holding everything from a school binder and work laptop to a reusable water bottle, wallet or cardholder, travel beauty bag, staple pair of sunnies, and so much more (even all at once!).
Whether you're a grad student looking for a chic bag for school, a corporate worker in need of a practical tote to carry to and from the office, or just someone hoping to add a more relaxed style to your wardrobe, the Easy Tote encompasses the ideal, go-anywhere bag that will help you feel polished and supported in any season.
Where Is This Cuyana Tote Available?
The Cuyana Easy Tote is available to shop exclusively at the brand's website.

The Viral Amazon Leggings That Upgraded My Winter Wardrobe Are on Sale For 24% Off

Image Source: PS Photography / Marisa Petrarca
I've never had the pleasure of living somewhere warm, so I've subsequently mastered the art of staying cozy. My go-to for braving Midwest winters is the Aritzia Super Puff, which I almost always pair with my Bombas wool calf socks, and trusty Timberland boots. While I previously thought I had the whole equation figured out, I recently got wind of a genius innovation I wish I had known about sooner: fleece-lined leggings.
Intrigued, I did some research and scooped up the bestselling Baleaf Women's Fleece Lined Leggings ($29, originally $38) to test their effectiveness against the brutal Minnesota cold. Turns out, they're exactly what I needed to transform my winter wardrobe, and they're currently discounted. Ahead, I break down everything you need to know about these fleece-lined leggings from Amazon.
What I Love About the Baleaf Fleece-Lined Leggings
What I love about these fleece-lined leggings is that they're much warmer than my usual go-tos from Old Navy or Lululemon, yet they're equally stretchy and soft. The fleece interior doesn't make me sweat when I wear them inside (and I run warm!), but keeps my legs shielded from the piercing cold when the temperature is only in the teens.
Given the fact that these leggings are fleece-lined, I don't think I'll be reaching for these for indoor workouts. However, I can confirm their thick fabric has you covered during exercises like squats, so you don't have to worry about them being see-through at the gym. And even with their added layer, they're plenty flexible for easy movement, with what I'd describe as medium compression.
What's even more remarkable is their sleek design. Despite the addition of the soft fleece interior layer, they look just like "normal" leggings. Plus, they have two deep pockets, one on each side, that are large enough to fit my iPhone 14 Pro. There's also a zippered pocket on the back waistband for a key, license, or credit card.
What's Worth Noting About the Baleaf Fleece-Lined Leggings
My sole grievance with the Baleaf Fleece-Lined Leggings is the slight roominess in the groin area. Although this hasn't kept me from wearing them, I'd prefer a more snug fit in this area to prevent any sagging and make them look a bit more flattering. It's worth noting that I'm not alone in this observation; several other customers have also pointed out this detail in their reviews.
Another caveat to consider before you buy them is that not everyone thinks they're well-suited for the cold. While they work for me and are certainly a much warmer option than the rest of my leggings, one person, who rated them three stars, left the following review: "Ordered these for an upcoming trip to Iceland, they are super comfy & fit well however they are not that warm. Wore them today in 30-degree weather & I was still cold." You might have to test them yourself to determine if they'll be warm enough for you.
Who Are the Baleaf Fleece-Lined Leggings Best For?
The Baleaf Fleece-Lined Leggings are best for people who love wearing leggings year-round, but are in need of a more heavy-duty pair for when temperatures plummet. They're cozy, yet sleek, proving you don't have to compromise on style for warmth. Not to mention, they prioritize practicality with two types of pockets to store all your small, on-person essentials.
Where Are the Baleaf Fleece-Lined Leggings Available?
The Baleaf Fleece-Lined Leggings are available via Amazon or direct-to-consumer from the brand's website, baleaf.com.
Additional Details About the Baleaf Fleece-Lined Leggings
- The Baleaf Fleece-Lined Leggings come in sizes X-Small to 3X-Large.
- They come in several colors to suit every style.
- They're made of 87 percent polyester and 13 percent spandex.
- They come in a petite version and a classic version.

I Test Drove Taylor Swift's Date-Night Corsets at Fashion Week

If you are a Taylor Swift fan, or have a friend who's a Swiftie (who doesn't?), then you've probably heard she's been spotted on many outings with boyfriend Travis Kelce. So, it might not come as a surprise that her style has taken a romantic turn for date nights and Chiefs games alike. Swift appears to have a newfound affinity for corsetry, sporting both the Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Classic Silk Corset ($35, originally $100) and Fleur du Mal Long Sleeve Flared Corset Dress ($475) in recent history.
As someone who's always been intrigued by her aesthetic - skater skirts and leggy co-ords seem to transcend time in Swift's wardrobe - I decided to try out both pieces by constructing inspired street style looks for New York Fashion Week. My goal was to deliver an honest review of her go-to pieces so I reported thoroughly on the features, comfortability, and versatility of both corset designs ahead. Read on to see how I employed Swift's most recognizable styling tricks to determine whether her outfits live up to the hype.
Taylor Swift's Victoria's Secret Corset
Image Source: PS Photography / Sarah Wasilak and David Eulitt/Getty Images
About the Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Classic Silk Corset
- It comes in coconut white or black as part of a set with an adjustable thong panty.
- It's available in sizes XS-XL with DD cup size available in small and medium.
- The corset has boning throughout, front hook-and-eye closures, and an adjustable lace-up back.
- The straps are elastic and not adjustable.
- It's made of 100-percent silk with a 100-percent polyamide lining.
- It should be hand-washed.
What I Like About the Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Classic Silk Corset
There's no denying that this corset made me feel snatched. I actually can't recall the last time I strapped myself into a proper corset, but this one brought back all the fond memories. I think the satin feel gives this a very elevated look, whether or not you're styling it with clothes. I also really appreciated the flexibility of the elastic straps since the rest of the bodice is so firm and structured.
Ultimately, it's the silky sheen that makes this corset Swift-certified for a Chiefs game - she teamed it with red Versace tweed separates, Versace Medusa boots, and a Versace Medusa bag to ideate luxury, along with a Louis Vuitton Tambour watch and ruby jewelry from David Yurman, Effy, and RetrouvaÃ. I employed the same styling tricks, albeit at a significantly lower price point, and even swiped on Swift's signature red lip using her go-to Ruby Woo shade by Mac.
What to Consider Before Buying the Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Classic Silk Corset
This corset is not for the faint of heart. It required my boyfriend's full attention as I was unable to tie it myself once I had it in place, and I had to fully loosen all the ribbons to get it over my head. You'll want to reserve at least 10 minutes for this process, and probably tap a friend or partner for help. While it felt firm and not necessarily uncomfortable once it was secured, some folks might describe the corset as restricting, particularly while sitting down. I wore it to a runway show and had it on for a total of about three hours. I definitely breathed an unmistakable sigh of relief when I took it off at the end of the night. Finally, it's important to note that this corset doesn't have adjustable straps, and it's on clearance, so you may want to go for another option (VS recommends the Dare to Dream Lace Strapless Corset and Geo Daisy Lace Deep-V Corset as alternatives) for either of those key reasons.
Taylor Swift's Fleur du Mal Corset Dress
Image Source: PS Photography / Sarah Wasilak and XNY/Star Max/GC Images
About the Fleur du Mal Long Sleeve Flared Corset Dress
- The dress is available in both black and heather gray in sizes XS-L.
- The material is soft stretch jacquard with corset seaming throughout.
- It has a mockneck cut, flare skater skirt with a wavy trim, and exposed back zipper.
- The dress should be dry cleaned or hand-washed with cold water, then laid flat to dry.
- It's returnable for a full refund and comes with free shipping since it's over $175.
What I Like About the Fleur du Mal Long Sleeve Flared Corset Dress
It's hard to find one bad feature of this LBD that Swift wore for a night out with Travis Kelce over the holidays. It's extremely comfortable and you can feel the quality just by the weight of the piece when you're holding it up in front of you. Because of the corsetry woven throughout, the design is extremely flattering and smoothing. It's easy to see why Swift's stylist Joseph Cassell Falconer considered this to be a closet staple when he selected it for her.
"We work with her stylist and know she has a few Fleur du Mal pieces," founder Jennifer Zuccarini said. "I think Fleur du Mal is a perfect fit for [Swift] because her style, similar to Fleur, is more feminine, fashion-forward, and often cheeky and flirty. Over the last couple of years, she seems more comfortable with herself and embracing her sensuality and individuality." (Swift also sported the label in her music videos for "Lover" and "You Need To Calm Down.")
For date night, Swift wore the dress under Simkhai's embellished Gianni coat with a fringe Stella McCartney Falabella tiny tote bag, Christian Louboutin platform sandals, De Beers earrings, a Bonbonwhims necklace, and gold Cartier watch. I paid homage to the look with a similar Nasty Gal coat that's now sold out, a Stella McCartney Ryder bag to reflect her love for the designer, and Vivaia sock boots with fitting red soles. I even applied the same Ruby Woo lipstick and added Swift-inspired jewelry to round out the moment.
What to Consider Before Buying the Fleur du Mal Long Sleeve Flared Corset Dress
While this dress has all the details that comprise a wardrobe essential, it is on the expensive side for a black skater dress, comparatively speaking. If you have pets, make sure you have a lint roller on hand because the material also attracts hair. The Fleur du Mal team notes that the dress sold out as soon as Swift wore it, though it's back in stock now, so if you love it, add it to your cart ASAP. One final note? I own the dress in my regular size (XS), and while it's the perfect length, the sleeves almost feel like added compression - that doesn't bother me at all, but if you prefer a looser fit, my advice is to size up.
Where to Buy Taylor Swift's Viral Corsets
You can shop the Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Classic Silk Corset on the brand's website and the Fleur du Mal Black Sleeve Flared Corset Dress on the brand's website, or at Shopbop and Farfetch.

Whether you're searching for an of-the-moment denim style, like a barrel leg pant or a wide-leg pair; something flattering and high-waisted; or even the perfect pair of vintage-looking denim, we've found them all.
Our favorite picks for 2025 include classic Levi's, designer brands, as well as affordable options under $100. The best part is that prices start at just $42, so you may even be able to pick up two pairs. Whether you're looking for something timeless or want to switch it up with a modern style, these options will team beautifully with all of your favorite basics, like a classic tank top or a favorite sneaker. Keep reading to find your next go-to pair of jeans from our curated list.
