Don't Tell Anyone, But I'll Be Recycling These 6 Summer Trends This Fall

This summer has been filled with stylish fashion ensembles, and I'm not ready to move on just yet. The pieces I've gathered this season have become some of my all-time favorites, and it wouldn't feel right to abandon them after all we've been through. So I've secretly decided to recycle some of my most beloved summer trends this fall. (No one's going to notice, right?)

The key warm-weather styles I'm hooked on are sheer separates, utilitywear, and red accessories. Finding ways to repurpose these trends requires a little creativity and inspiration, but that's why I'm here. Keep scrolling to shop the six trends that I'll be wearing for the foreseeable future.

It's more than just a tube top. Elevated strapless tops that veer away from the standard cropped style have been everywhere this summer. Style them with literally any bottoms from jeans to trousers to maxi skirts, and throw on a cardigan, blazer, or leather jacket come fall.
The side slits add a nice detail to this everyday bandeau top.
Asymmetric hemlines and ruche detailing tap into the quiet-luxury trend in the best way.
I love the structured nature of this one, and how cool are those oversize buttons?
Needless to say, this is a timeless wardrobe staple.
Utilitywear and workwear trends continue to be fashion-girl favorites. Look for cargo pants and dresses with patch-pocket details to tap into this trend. These pieces make for quite the comfortable, laid-back wardrobe, and they're super easy to throw on even when the weather cools down.
These relaxed-fit cargo pants have a subtle '90s vibe, and they're perfect for everyday wear.
Denim shorts are a wardrobe essential, and the pocket detailing on this pair is so cute. I'm wearing mine with a tank now and a cozy knit come fall.
The dress that can do it all: office days, coffee dates, weekend activities, and more.
Made from stretchy, lightweight, and breathable fabric, these utility pants are insanely comfy.
Red is the number-one color trend of the year and has been spotted on countless runways during both spring and fall 2023 shows. The momentum won't be slowing down anytime soon, and I've found that the easiest way to incorporate this bold shade into my wardrobe is with accessories such as suede sneakers and leather handbags. Below are some stylish options to add a pop of red to any outfit no matter what color it is.
I've been eyeing this treasured Adidas style for awhile, and I'm finally ready to buy in.
This shoulder-bag silhouette is timeless.
A classic baseball cap for those everyday street style ensembles.
Handmade in Italy, these velvet flats will turn any outfit into a chic fashion statement.
Though it's intuitive to wear these pieces when the temperature is at an all-time high, I'm determined to find ways to go sheer this fall. Styling sheer tops with corduroy pants and leather boots or layering them over a turtleneck are just a couple ways to reimagine the trend.
The cute polka dots are what first caught my eye. And the diagonal ruffles elevate this top, giving it depth.
I could find endless ways to style this sheer skirt. I'm thinking date nights, dinner parties, and evenings on the town.
The collar and cuffed sleeves give this otherwise casual, see-through top a tailored look. It's the perfect layering piece.
The frill sleeves and waist tie add a flirty touch to this stunning floral dress. For those looking for a little more coverage, I'd recommend wearing a slip underneath.
Cat-eye frames are a chic summertime staple, and I plan on wearing this popular sunglass style into the new season. There are endless designs and colors to play with, too.
This pair is sleek and lightweight. It's safe to say I'll be wearing these for the rest of the year.
A worthy investment that complements my many outfits.
The cobalt blue is so cool. Wear these with an all-black outfit for an unexpected pop of color.
This cute pair has that vintage aesthetic I'm always searching for.
Fringe during the summer is often associated with festival, resort, or beach ensembles. But this same trend can take on a whole new identity in the fall. Staple pieces with fringed detailing create an eclectic, vintage flair that's authentic to the change in season.
A classic white T-shirt with a cute twist. The beaded embellishments along the hem are such a pretty detail.
This knitted midi dress is so stunning, and it's under $100.
This leather jacket is giving major horse-girl vibes. For a modern take on the Western aesthetic, pair it with sleek boots or chunky loafers.
This black knitted miniskirt is yet another example of how fringed hemlines can elevate an entire outfit. Pair it with an oversize sweater or long-sleeved tee.

Shopbop Is Having an Epic Shoe Sale—These Under-$200 Pairs Will Get So Much Wear

Shopbop's shoe selection is thousands of pairs deep, and a sizable chunk of it is on sale right now. 1.3k pairs, to be exact. Shopbop just launched an end-of-summer shoe sale, and prices are marked down by up to a whopping 70%. At press time, lots of special pairs are still in stock, but who has time to look through over a thousand pairs of shoes? I do. It's my job.

I'm always in the market for shoes that go with lots of things that are also walkable. Those are the shoes I wear the most, making them most worth the money. I scrolled through the Shopbop shoe sale with this in mind, as well as a price filter for less than $200. The shoes I selected check all of the boxes—including the affordability one. Scroll to shop my recommendations before they're gone (which will be soon, given these prices).

Click through to see how pretty the marbled heel is on these.
These are never marked down—but don't ask questions, just order.
I'm a sucker for black-and-white shoes, and these look especially comfortable.
Shopping for an upcoming vacation? Order these.
At this price, consider this your lucky day.
I needed you to see how cool these look on the foot.
I can't get over how cheap these classics are.
A minimalist's dream shoe.
Some outfits just call for a simple heel.
I'm obsessed with this shade of butter yellow right now.
Given that fall is coming, it's a good time to take advantage of this crazy deal.
These would be cute with a pair of thin crew socks.
I predict these will soon be your most-worn heels.
Such an elegant take on the wedge trend.
A classic with a cool twist.
These are something special.
For when you need something fancy.
In a couple months, it'll be impossible to find boots on sale.
I love a low-key platform.

The 20 Best New Arrivals at Old Navy For August

As we bask in the peak of summer, with the autumn breeze just around the corner, we're still embracing shorts and dresses, but we have our eye on fall fashion, too. One of our favorite places to shop, no matter the season? Old Navy. The brand's new arrivals section never disappoints, offering a delightful mix of timeless classics and trendy designs, and their current collection is no exception. It currently has many pieces worth checking out, several of which are getting us excited for cooler weather, like stylish denim, fashionable footwear, cozy cardigans, and more.

Among Old Navy's latest releases for August, a few items have caught our attention. Firstly, there's a tie-belt jean utility jacket that can be worn as either outerwear or a standalone shirt, and there's a chance people will mistake it for designer. We also have our eye on the many (!) other denim pieces, including a pair of wide-leg jeans that look straight out of the '70s and a corset-inspired jean shirt that we're willing to bet will sell out fast. Keep an eye out for new professional staples, like trousers and blazers, which we predict will quickly become a popular choice and a chic quilted bomber jacket that'll garner compliments from strangers.

So why wait any longer? Keep scrolling to discover and shop our top 20 Old Navy new arrivals for August that we guarantee you'll fall in love with too.

Blake Lively Wore the Dress Trend That French Girls Love For a Day Date In Paris

When in Paris, dress like the locals do. And for Blake Lively, that only means one thing, throwing on an always easy and elegant floral dress. While in the City of Lights this week, the Gossip Girl actress was spotted holding hands and headed out for a gourmet lunch at its famed La Poule au Jar restaurant with Ryan Reynolds, choosing a very French white floral dress and matching sneakers for the occasion.

Specifically, Lively wore a button-up, long-sleeve frock from BA&SH, a distinctly Parisian label started by two French fashion lovers, Barbara Boccara and Sharon Krief. With the dress, she added a navy-blue, pinstripe duster; a magenta-colored Chanel crossbody bag; and tan, gingham-printed Nike Air Force 1s. Though BA&SH has since sold out of her exact dress, give how popular floral dresses are this time of year among French girls and more, there's no shortage of other options to opt for if you're looking to recreate Lively's Parisian-date outfit. See some of my favorites below.

On Blake Lively: BA&SH dress; Chanel bag; Nike Air Force 1 Low QS ($282)
It's all about the ruffles for me.
Introducing the flower of the year: anthuriums.
A gorgeous and unexpected take on the floral dress.
You can't go wrong with a Dôen floral number.
Note the limited-time 35%-off discount.
Though I'm not usually a huge pattern person, this bold print from J.Crew is calling my name.
The bodice on this dress looks so expensive and chic.
Every popcorn-fabric piece from Mara Hoffman is beyond chic.
This dress can easily be styled up or down depending on your shoes and accessories.
A simple beauty.
The shape of this dress is so classic and glamorous.
Sofia Richie Grainge just wore this dress, so yes, you need it.
A thing of beauty if I've ever seen one.
You're coming home with me.
The bow in the back has my whole heart.
Madewell's fall collection is too good.
Hello, sale.
The little flower brooch is reason enough to invest in this slip dress.
