Summer is finally here, and we've been eager to share all the really fun and cool pieces we've been secretly racking up in our virtual carts. By now, you know that pops of color have been at the top of our minds, and don't even get us started on the "coastal grandma" trend. (We found a slew of dresses that fit the bill.)
As always, our Who What Wear editors and influencer friends have been turning to Macy's to find everything they need for the season, and the current selection seriously can't be missed. What's better? Everything is under $300. (In fact, most pieces are under $100.) Start shopping our recommendations here.
"You can't be in a bad mood when wearing this bubblegum-pink top. The ties, the puff sleeves, the color—I love it all."
"The '70s vibe of these high-rise jeans is really doing it for me. The wash and relaxed fit make them perfect for summer outfits."
"Pack these pants for your next vacation. Trust me. You'll want to wear them every day whether you're going to the beach or to dinner."
"Keep this ice roller in your freezer, and use it on your face first thing in the morning to instantly de-puff. Thank me later."
"I'll be using this bronze and gold eye-shadow palette to create glowy, bronzed summer makeup looks."
"I love elegant, black swimwear, and this one is perfection. I'd style it with an oversize straw bag and a sheer-black bikini cover-up."
"I think I just found the perfect denim jacket. This one has a slouchy, oversize fit, and it's just what I need on a plane or on breezy nights by the sea. Dress it down with a full denim look, or dress it up with a silk midi dress. This is a piece to keep in your closet forever."
"This white dress is a total classic and will never go out of style. It's easy, breezy, and comfortable. The one-shoulder style is super playful. Give it a cute kitten heel and oversize earrings, and you're good to go."
"I really love this updated version of a flip-flop. Style it with wide-leg jeans or your favorite midi dress. If I had to pack one heel for a resort vacation, this would be it!"
"A classic straw satchel is all I need for a weekend away. This one reminds me of summers in Nantucket. It's the perfect classic bag to hold a book and a pair of sunglasses."
"I absolutely love this top as a neutral, throw-on-and-go option for summer. It's versatile enough to be paired with jeans or trousers and would even be super cute under a blazer for an elevated evening look."
I chose these as a more colorful option to my otherwise neutral picks. A nice poppy red/orange is one of my favorite colors for summer and this one is perfect for making a statement.
I always have a good pair of loose denim on hand and these are the perfect shape—comfortable and easily dressed up or down.
"You can never go wrong with a nice beige trouser. It's a classic for a reason."
A comfortable and easy-to-style midi dress is always a staple for me for the summer. This one looks like the perfect weekender with a hair scarf and a tote bag.
"This dress had me at the sweet detailing. I absolutely adore the large bow and open back."
"A black unitard like this one is already my most worn item of the season. It's my WFH uniform and perfect for running errands around town. I'll throw this on with an oversize button-down and some New Balance 990s for a stylish athleisure look."
"Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer has been in my beauty rotation for years now. I have no doubt this blush iteration will be, too."
"I typically keep my outfits neutral, but I love to add a pop of color with accessories. These woven sandals come in a few colorways, but this green is calling my name."
"To streamline my beauty routine, I love anything that combines makeup and skincare. Urban Decay's All Nighter Setting Spray was already so good, but with this boost of Vitamin C, my skin will really glow for hours on end."
This bag can easily pass as designer.
They're giving cool-girl vibes. Match with a baby tee, and you're basically an It girl.
There's that pop of color again. We're not over hot-pink statement shoes, and you shouldn't be, either.
Shiseido's sunblock is a cult favorite for a reason. The spray version has all the same benefits, and you can toss it in your bag for touch-ups while you're out and about this summer.
This is basically the "coastal grandma" trend in a top. Wear it over a bathing suit as a cover-up or with a pair of Bermuda shorts and a straw hat.
