For me, the first thing that always comes to mind is outwear—'tis the season, after all. Cooler temperatures allow us to finally break out the blazers, trench coats, or even the winter coats. What that means is purely up to your personal preferences, but based on my premonitions, I'm guessing there's one style that will stand out this fall for many people: leather jackets. While leather always makes a comeback each fall (it is timeless), this season's runway collections took this textile into even edgier territory. Across the board, there was a focus on what our editorial team has dubbed "heavy-duty leather"—either pieces that looked very worn-in or head-to-toe showstopping leather outfits. Leather jackets were everywhere, from Miu Miu to Diesel to Alexander McQueen to Blumarine, regardless of the brand's aesthetic.
