I'm a Shopping Specialist—7 Fall Trends I'm Buying From Nordstrom for Under $150

As Who What Wear’s senior fashion market editorshopping specialist, and Nordstrom devotee, it’s my job (and my pleasure!) to unearth some of the coolest, new sartorial gems to hit the multi-brand retailer—and share the crème de la crème of picks with you, our dear readers. This season, Nordstrom is brimming with some of fall’s biggest trends guaranteed to elevate and add a fashion-forward touch to your new-season wardrobe. Whether you’re looking for an of-the-moment leather jacket, this season’s must-have relaxed jeans or trend-forward preppy loafers, below I’m sharing the biggest fall trends that you can score at Nordstrom for (drumroll, please) under-$150. Keep scrolling for the coolest affordable Nordy finds that will keep you altogether on-trend this fall and winter.

Whether it's a distressed worn-in style, an oversized biker silhouette, a moto jacket, leather blazer, or trench coat—the edgy leather jacket is having a major moment and is the perfect topper to look on-trend right now.
While silky slip dresses are indisputably timeless in my eyes, they're also one of the biggest trends this fall, thanks to a number of designers showcasing them on the F/W 22 runways. Opt for a long and streamlined silhouette in a solid color—and dress them up or down as you please.
Loose jeans are here to stay for fall and the fashion crowd have been embracing them in full force. They look effortlessly cool whether you pair them with a blazer, a sweatshirt or a sheer party top.
Inject some preppy styling into your new-season wardrobe with plaid mini skirts, polished loafers, sweater vests, and white shirting. This season's preppy trend is combined with a dose of punk to add edge to its prim nature.
The fall runways marked the return of uber-pretty things—think shades of pale pastel pink at Burberry, slip dresses with layers of lace and sequins at Bottega Veneta, lingerie visible underneath layers of transparent chiffon at Fendi, and striking floral appliqué's on dresses at Coperni—with all the creative new interpretations of pretty dressing, it's the perfect time to add a romantic touch to your wardrobe.
While miniskirts are unquestionably trending, at the same time long floor-length hemlines are in the spotlight this season. From maxi coats to floor-sweeping maxi skirts and ankle-grazing dresses—it's all about long, streamlined silhouettes this season—adding a dose of drama to your fall looks.
The fashion crowd just can't get enough of the bomber and it's easy to see why. It's the outerwear hero you can wear from morning work-out class to weekend lunch to evening drinks. We're seeing everything from oversized to vintage-inspired and cropped suede variations, whatever you choose there's something for every sartorial taste and budget.

Up next, all the coolest items on our fashion editors' wish lists.
