The Cutest New Home Décor Items From H&M and Urban Outfitters

Besides fashion, one of my other passions is home décor. I take pride in my apartment and what I've been able to do with it, design-wise. However, I've lived in the same place for three years and I still feel like it's not complete. But is a home ever a finished product? I like to think not, as I'm a big proponent of collecting things you love over time, as opposed to buying everything at once and ending up regretting purchases you made simply because you needed to fill a room.

To that end, I'm always on the lookout for knick-knacks for my home. H&M and Urban Outfitters are two of my favorite places to look, as they blend reasonable prices with stylish designs. Scroll down to shop my favorite new home décor pieces.

I adore this blue-and-green combo.
How cute is this?
You can never have too many candles in your life.
I'm obsessed with these swirly chairs.
This looks way more expensive than $18.
I can't resist a cabana stripe.
This is such a genius idea for coasters.
Liven up your kitchen counter with this cobalt blue caddy.
I never knew I needed a cowboy hat wall hook until now.
H&M has the cutest plates in stock right now.
Clearly, I have a thing for electric-blue pieces.
Arched mirrors are always a good idea.
I suddenly need a globe lamp in my life.
Perfect for your WFH desk.

Using the Right Nail File is Vital for a Perfect Set—11 That Meet Our Standards

Have you ever considered how vital the right nail file is to achieving the perfect set? Until I really gave it some thought, I hadn’t. However, I love watching my nail tech gently and thoughtfully file my nails into the perfect almond shape every time before a fresh coat of nail polish. Getting your desired nail shape at home or on the go, like at the salon, starts with an essential tool: the nail file. So what should we look for as we add one (or a few) to our nail care kit? First, the way a nail file is numbered, matters.

"The key point to remember when looking at numbers on nail files is that the lower the number, the more coarse the nail file will be,” says LeChat Nail Educator and Ambassador, Syreeta Aaron. “The higher the number, the finer the grit will be,” she explains. So, if you opt for a nail file with a lower number, you can expect a more abrasive finish which makes it best for nail enhancements like acrylic or hard gel. Alternatively, a nail file with a higher number is better to use on your natural nails.

If you’re interested in a nail file that is long-lasting, easy on the nail, and easy to clean, Aaron says glass files are the best option. "When using nail files on natural nails, I always advise people to use a glass nail file," she explains. "The grit on a typical nail file is much different than the glass nail file. Glass nail files are made to protect the integrity of the nail, unlike regular nail files that may be used for nail enhancements like acrylic and hard gel." With this information in mind, keep scrolling to shop 11 of the best nail files.

Housed in a vegan leather case, you get polisher glass to gently shape your nails and a citrus-scented cuticle oil infused with jojoba, grape seed, castor, and sea buckthorn oils to nourish cuticles without greasy residue, all ready to travel with you on your day-to-day journey.
This budget-friendly glass nail file comes in at just $4, and you can wash and sanitize it with soap and water. Not to mention, the price is so good you can purchase multiple, so you're never without one.
For artificial nail prep, this nail is a great choice that comes in six options.
This Amazon fave boasting a five-star review has sides that can be peeled off and replaced so you're getting a super-hygienic filing each time on natural, acrylic, and gel manicures.
This crystal glass, double-sided file has just the right balance of grit to shape even the most delicate nails without causing damage. Additionally, this reusable file is easy to clean with soap and water.
Nail files don't have to be boring. This neon three-pack proves it, and you can use these 100/180 grit files on natural and acrylic nails. Bonus: they can be reused for up to three months.
Designed with a foam inner layer for control and precision, along with an elongated diamond shape, this 100/180 grit file is one of the best for shaping, refining, and shortening the length of nail extensions.
Crafted with poplar wood from sustainably managed forests and packaged in a tiny signature Hermès orange box, you can easily pop this luxe, double-sided 12-piece set into your purse or carry-on. Use the beige side to shape and the orange side to smooth!
Crafted in Germany, this stainless steel, double-sided nail shaper is finished with diamond-ceramic surfaces in medium grit for shaping and fine grit for smoothing. It's salon-grade and is made with a scratch-resistant coating that repels water, oil, and bacteria.
For natural nails, reviewers rave about this nail file. One reviewer shared, “My husband prefers these heavy gauge boards to anything else available. They feel sturdy in your hands. He also uses them on his calluses.”
Made for the feet, this best-in-class German-crafted stainless steel file is finished with a diamond-ceramic layer that softens rough edges gently. At the same time, the ultra-hard, scratch-resistant coating repels water, oil, and bacteria. For best results, it's recommended to soak your feet to soften the skin.

I Shopped the World's Largest Uniqlo—27 Hidden Gems Everyone Needs to See

It can be hard to find affordable and elevated basics, but that's where Uniqlo comes to the rescue. Not only is it beloved by editors and fashion people, but it's known for its comfortable, chic, and accessible clothing. And after a trip to Japan where I shopped at the world's largest Uniqlo, I feel like I was put onto the hype of the brand's unbeatable basics all over again. I could spend hours going from floor to floor, and if I didn't have a flight to catch, I probably would have. After all. what's not to love? Whether it's their classic and crisp Uniqlo U pieces or designer collaborations with JW Anderson or Marni, there's more to the retailer than first meets the eye. I personally think the online shopping experience doesn't do the clothing justice, which is why I used my time in-store and online to narrow down a perfect list of finds you need to see.

That said, there are plenty of spring-ready pieces in the assortment below. The perfect cotton poplin shirt? Check. Pleated pants in your favorite colors? Check. Don't just take my word for it—keep scrolling to shop.

I'm currently dreaming of those perfect spring days but when the weather leans a little chilly, this seems like the ideal coat to wear.
Crisp, clean, and classic. I can already think of ten different ways to wear this shirt.
A more approachable way to wear the sheer trend from the runways.
When I saw these pants up close, I immediately texted my friends to see who wanted a pair. (I bought two colors and am debating ordering a third.)
This collab is everything. (The tees were so aesthetically pleasing that even my brother purchased one in his size.)
These are just the right amount of trendy. The fit isn't too oversized, and the color is everyone's favorite shade of tan.
This color is stunning.
This bag has become so TikTok viral that they actually had a screenshot of the TikTok video on display in store.
This oversized and comfy T-shirt is bound to become your favorite.
Wrap this around your blazer for the on-trend cinched look.
I know this collection isn't out yet, but I just had to include it. JW Anderson's pieces always sell out at lightning speed.
This one too. Consider it a pre-shopping add.
Although this comes in 10 colors, this green and the lilac are high on my wishlist.
Found: your new go-to work pants.
Here's another item I couldn't help but buy in more than one color. I'd love to layer a poplin shirt or blazer on top.
Looking for an easy and cheap way to add color to your outfit? These socks are the answer.
Bye bye, skinny jeans!
I can't tell what I love more about this jacket—the joyful color or the relaxed fit.
Add a cardigan on top and a fix up a messy hairdo and you'll look like you stepped off Miu Miu's latest runway. It's called librarian chic.
Talk about power dressing.
Yes, those are satin sweatpants. How can one resist?
I usually gravitate towards longer coat styles, but something about this mini trench feels so fresh.
The right way to do pastels for spring.
Retailers are having a hard time keeping circle skirts on their shelves, so you should act quick for this one.
There's no limit to how much denim you can wear in 2023.
If you need more room than the TikTok viral option can offer, this should be your bag of choice.
Is there such a thing as too much linen for spring and summer? If you can't get your hands on the JW Anderson version, this one's a great second.
