Inside Ralph Lauren: Christy Turlington on the Runway and J.Lo in the Front Row

After decamping to Los Angeles for a spectacular show last season, Ralph Lauren made a triumphant return to the New York calendar on Friday. After all, what is NYFW without the Bronx-born designer? Lauren and NYC go together like PB&J. To no one's surprise, the legendary brand attracted dozens of A-list celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, Diane Keaton, Sofia Richie, Gabrielle Union, and others.

The runway was similarly starry, with Christy Turlington, Natalia Vodianova, and Mariacarla Boscono walking the show. Talk about a night full of icons. The only thing better than the celebrity and supermodel appearances? The fantastic designs.

Ralph Lauren described the collection in a statement: "My Spring 2024 women’s collection is about a new kind of romance—cool and sophisticated," he said. "It’s about the freedom of creating a personal style through the artistry of faded denims and painterly florals, the modern sophistication of iconic shapes in black and gold, or the eclectic mix of bold colors, shine, and luxurious handcrafted details."

Scroll down for everything you need to know about the show.

Christy Turlington, Natalia Vodianova, Imaan Hammam, and Mariacarla Boscono were among the supermodels leading the charge on the runway.
In addition to the celebrities pictured above, other notable guests included Julianne Moore, Laura Dern, Gabrielle Union, Amanda Seyfried, Mindy Kaling, Robin Wright, Anna Wintour, Cara Delevingne, Li Bingbing, and Keri Russell.
Ralph Lauren's newest bag, the RL 888, opened the show (bottom right image). With its sharp angles, the handcrafted bag is inspired by NYC architecture. The RL 888 comes in a variety of colors and fabrics and is already available to shop online.
By far, my favorite looks of the show were these amethyst-, emerald-, and topaz-hued pieces. It's only a matter of time before we see these stunning looks on the red carpet.
